Week 3 Reflection

July 21 - 24

I had many projects to do this week so I really focused on time management and organizing my tasks on MeisterTask.

Our team met frequently to plan out how the interviews would go. We split up the applicants into 2 groups and matched them with interviewers who they weren't friends with so that the leaders would not be biased. We also created a step by step agenda for how the interview would go. I took up the task of emailing applicants to thank them for applying and to confirm an interview.

On Wednesday we had a workshop on resume building that I found very informative. I learned what and what not to put onto resumes and how to effectively showcase my skills in the small amount of time that employers take to read it, which then led to me redesigning and updating my resume. On Friday, we had a Justice, Bias, and Stereotypes workshop where I learned about different ideas of justice and the difference between explicit and implicit bias.

Lastly, I facilitated the end of the week meeting. To prepare myself I created a list of questions for the interns that would ask them to reflect onto this week and peek into next week.

I started this week out feeling overwhelmed with all the things I had to do, but I was able to organize my schedule and time and finished the week with all my work finished and ready for week 4.
